In the absense of the device-tree overlay patchset in our 'old' 2.6.32 kernel we had to refrain to a close-enough hack. Our device-tree contains all overlays and each node that is 'optional' contains an extra field indicating the overlays it is active in. The bootloader then reads an EEPROM and fills in a /chosen entry.

Ferroelectric Field Effect Transistor (FeFET) is a promising nonvolatile device which provides high integration density, fast programming speed, and excellent CMOS compatibility. In general, the non-volatility of FeFET is impacted by its physical structure and there is a trade-off between data retention time and device endurance.

Use include as .dtsi or overlay With sugar syntax, the syntax used by an overlay is now compatible with the syntax used by an include file, if the include file uses labels as paths instead of using explicit paths. - This may be convenient for development workflows - Do not become dependent on this for overlays that will be long lived -- current good news, with your latest remarks, i built a new image based on 4.4 kernel that enables dynamic loading of overlays. The new image is not on the server yet, but pm me and i'll send a link for you to download and test. The image contains the device-tree overlay that you can modify and load at run-time. (its a 16.04 Ubuntu image).
Jun 18, 2001 · The classes are defined in an external style sheet. The main purpose of the data0 and data1 classes is to set the background color. Users report that the "data1" rows look fine, but the "data0" rows are invisible - there's no data, and the rows' background color is the same as the page's background color. A how-to tutorial on the device tree published by eli on Mon, 2012-11-26 07:21 A tutorial explaining what the device tree is all about, how to compile and reverse compile it, how to add an entry for your custom IP and what the related Linux kernel looks like.
Jan 14, 2014 · However, there has been a few changes to the device tree of the BB, so device tree overlays created for 3.8 kernel might not be compatible with the new kernel. Luckily it's not that much work updating the device tree overlays. Looking at the diff of the am33xx.dtsi files going from 3.8 to 3.12 there seems to be lot of differences. Hi all, We have currently 2 custom board base on Zynq7000. We want to run exactly the same application in both board. The problem is the application is exactly the same but the hardware is different. So i would like to build a device-tree overlay in order to load the correct blob ( for EEPROM an...
